Benefits of attending the dentist on a Saturday and/or Sunday!

 

Many dental practices in Bristol (and across the wider United Kingdom) are typically only open Monday to Friday, during conventional working hours i.e. 9am – 5pm.  For many people, this historical practice has been more than suitable. However, for an ever-growing part of the population these opening hours are simply not practical, or feasible. Therefore, we have changed to popular demand in accordance with our values of providing the best dental and oral care in Bristol!

 

We have great news!

Here at The Bristol Dental Practice our opening hours have now been extended beyond the norm. Indeed, we start seeing patients at 8am throughout the week and work right up until 6pm each day. In addition, we are the only dental practice in the entire city of Bristol to be open and readily available to treat patients across each of the 7 days in a week!

 

New and existing patients both benefit!

We aim to accommodate both new and existing patients at our dental practice on a time and day which best suits your individual needs, we are therefore able to accommodate appointments throughout the entire week. You simply choose a date and time that suits you best and we will accommodate you!

We understand that many patients are just like us, busy people. People who are unable to make personal appointments during the week either due to their restrictive work or other personal commitments; finding it tricky to look after and make the time to care for their oral and dental health. Sometimes, patients who work physically close to the practice can take advantage of their lunch hour to visit our dentists and/or hygienists. However, for those who are not so fortunate to work nearby to us (on our doorstop) or have shorter lunch breaks, then this is simply not feasible.

 

Additional hours are the solution!

Therefore, we decided it would be more practical to extend our working day, to offer early morning appointments for those patients wishing to receive dental care before work i.e. 8-9am. Or, for those patients wishing to come and see us at the end of their working day i.e. 5-6pm.

 

We offer dental and hygiene appointments at weekends too!

When you have a busy day, it can be inconvenient to take time out for your dental visits, so we have also introduced weekend appointments. We are the only dentist in Bristol to offer routine dental and hygiene appointments on both a Saturday and/or Sundays. We are open at times to suit you!

We see weekend appointments as highly beneficial for patients when receiving treatments such as tooth extractions, receiving dental implants, and having root canal therapies. These appointments can sometime be lengthy in duration (over a couple of hours) and leave your mouth feeling slightly sore and achy afterwards, it may also mean that you do not feel like eating or drinking immediately afterwards. Therefore, having to also return to your work after a long dental appointment is not always ideal, practicable or recommended. Consequently, having a dental appointment on a weekend allows you the opportunity to return home and relax without the need of taking a day or two out of your own personal annual holiday allowance.

 

Dental appointments at a convenient time for you!

It may be that you have been told by your dentist you need to receive treatment, or you may wish to see one of our hygienists and you would like to have both done on the same day, but do not wish to take that extra bit of time out of work.

 

Dental emergencies also occur on weekends, how inconvenient!

We understand that dental pain can arise at any time (even including at weekends!) and we certainly understand how uncomfortable dental problems can be. Therefore, having to wait a day or two for your own dental practice to re-open come early Monday morning (when the phone lines are already busy) can be distressing.

Fortunately, we do not differentiate across days; our dental practice is open providing a comprehensive dental service 7 days a week. In this manner, we can provide suitable dental and oral care to all patients alike. Indeed, we look after our own registered patients and those who are not currently registered with us. For example, we offer 30-minute emergency appointments for non-registered patients whereby we aim to resolve any immediate dental pains or problems. If you require a more definitive treatment plan, we can also advise and prescribe these for you accordingly.

 

We are open on weekends!

Dental emergencies are a good reason why we see the benefit in keeping our dental practice open on weekends, for all patients who need our help!

We can become very busy during a typical working week and our reception team consistently strive to provide their upmost to accommodate all patients. Fortunately, by having extended our working hours to include weekends we can flow over our normal working days into these additional time slots during weekends.

 

Our weekend operating hours

We are open on Saturdays from 9am until 5pm and on Sundays from 10am until 4pm. These are slightly shorter working days than those we provide in the week but are always highly sought after by patients. Many people see the benefit of these appointments and we are proud to be able to offer them. Especially since no other dental practice in Bristol is even open on a Sunday!
