A ready smile is a powerful tool in how we communicate, indeed, studies suggest that the ease with which you smile makes a significant difference in whether people perceive you as trustworthy. However, it’s hard to smile confidently if you are not happy with the appearance of your teeth. Digital Smile Design is a multi-disciplinary approach to remodelling your smile using digital technology that enables you to try before you buy.

Your clinician will help you to draw from a pool of available treatments to achieve the optimum result that you are looking for. For example, if you have crooked, small teeth that are darker in shade than you would like, we could use orthodontics to straighten your teeth, composite bonding or porcelain veneers to make your teeth larger and finish with teeth whitening to create an entirely new smile that you are completely happy with.

Only practices with large, multi-speciality teams and state of the art facilities are optimally placed to offer this approach. We can perform everything in-house so there is no need for you to be referred to external specialists (which can make your treatment feel disjointed).

• Digital Smile Design uses modern digital imaging technology to show you exactly how other people see your smile now and how your smile could look with different combinations of cosmetic dental treatments
• Your dentist will take a digital photograph of your face and upload it onto a computer screen. You can use this image to explain to your dentist what it is about your smile that you wish to change
• Your dentist will then use software to digitally manipulate the image and adjust individual elements of your smile (such as adjustments to the shape of your teeth, colour of your teeth and the shape of your gumline) to demonstrate how the changes would suit the geometry of your face. This enables you to get a much clearer image of what different treatments could do for your smile and, ultimately, decide with your dentist on how you want to achieve your new smile. Your dentist can then show you onscreen how your final result will potentially look
• It’s important that as well as being aesthetically pleasing, your new smile design works from a functional perspective also. Your dentist will advise you on this and then work with you to craft your bespoke smile design treatment plan
